CAPS Self Help Pages 

We realize that many members of the Duke University community may want to learn more about certain mental health topics or simply about overall well-being.  These Self-Help pages are made available to you as another dimension of our service to this community.

Perhaps you've been exploring yourself recently and you're considering coming in to talk to somebody.  Perhaps you're already working with a counselor and you want to know more about an issue you've been struggling with.  Or you may be concerned about a friend and you simply want to know more about a certain area of mental health or interpersonal well-being.  Finally, you may just have an interest in the topics presented here, and you may not be considering counseling for yourself or someone you know at this time.

Regardless of your reasons, we hope you find these Self-Help pages and links helpful.  We anticipate adding to these pages as we receive feedback on emerging challenges and strengths that inform life on campus.
