Outreach Presentations

CAPS, Reaching Out Services provide workshop and discussion programs on a wide variety of personal growth or mental health topics.  We serve the entire Duke Community, and our Reaching Out Services are available upon request from Duke University departments, offices, or student groups and organizations.

To remain most available to individuals who need us when they are in distress, we require advanced notice for scheduling programs.  While it is ideal to provide at least two weeks notice when requesting a presentation or workshop, we realize that is not always possible.  However, to ensure availability and adequate preparation time for a presentation, we must impose a minimum of five (5) business days notice if you would like a member of the CAPS staff to offer a presentation or workshop.

PLEASE NOTE: This minimum notice does not apply for communities where a tragedy or crisis has occurred and crisis intervention assistance from CAPS is needed.  In these instances, CAPS provides Crisis Response Services as rapidly as possible.
