
Gary Glass, Ph.D. - Assistant Director for Outreach and Developmental Programming
Gary completed his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at the University of Memphis. Prior to joining the staff at CAPS, Gary was in Atlanta, GA, where he was in private practice. He also served as Training Director and Coordinator of Career Development Services in the Counseling Center at Georgia State University. Prior to that, Dr. Glass was a Staff Psychologist/Outreach Specialist at Boston University for 5 years.
Here at CAPS, Gary serves as the Assistant Director for Outreach and Developmental Programming. His professional interests include multicultural counseling, with particular emphasis on the impact of race and gender on identity and experience. He is also very interested in the role creativity has on the growth and healing process. Among his clinical interests are the various faces of disordered eating, relationship issues, grief and loss, and racial-identity development concerns.
