If you are feeling pressured and stressed, or just interested in learning a new skill that can enrich your life, these classes are for you!
Mindfulness is a skill that helps you decrease your stress and find more pleasure in your daily life. The course, consisting of 4 classes, is designed to help you learn mindfulness through the practice of specific skills that calm and focus your mind; and through the practice of meditation.
Please Note: The Wednesday Classes have enough students registered to fill the class. If you register at this point, you will be placed on a wait-list and admitted pending cancellations from those who have already registered.
Registration is Required to Participate in Either of These Classes in Order to Keep the Class Sizes Manageable

Each course will have a maximum of 12 participants. To ensure you get full benefit from the course, we ask that you commit to attending all 4 classes; please wait and register for a future class if you know you won’t be available for each class in the series.
The classes are held in room 217 Page, down the hall from the CAPS main office and reception, above Page Auditorium. They are FREE and open to all Duke Students, undergraduate, graduate and professional. Unfortunately, we are not able to take staff or faculty into these classes.

Jon Kabat-Zinn’s Wherever You Go, There You Are, available at the Gothic Bookstore, on-line and at used bookstores around town. Make sure you get the book BEFORE the class begins.
